Over the years I’ve heard every version of this question. Once or many times it came out of my own mouth. The scariest thing about the question is we won’t know the answer until we do the work and put it out there.
How do we find the courage to do that?
- Put in the hours to make the best work we possibly can
- Carefully choose people we can trust to give us their honest and constructive feedback on it
- Take what’s useful from the feedback and improve the work
- When it’s the best it can be within a reasonable timeframe, put it out there and don’t look back (if we’re waiting for the work to be perfect, we’ll never get anywhere).
